This reminds me of the controversy with the electoral college in the presidential election. I understand that it was put in place because the people in government felt that the popular vote would be based on all of the things that you said about fans and the all-star vote – that the voting body was not always equipped with the necessary info to make a sound decision. It did not matter to me until Bush won due the electoral college differing from the popular vote. I am definitely torn.

I agree with certain stipulations being put into place where the fan vote counts for a percentage and putting things in place to ensure that only one vote counts per person. I am also empathetic to how this affects the players and their careers; but how far do you really go? Jalen, you would really have to sit down and develop a viable solution that would appeal to all involved. I think you are up for the challenge!

It should be Derron Williams from the Utah Jazz and Kobe Bryant from the Lakers as starters for the West in my opinion. I still can’t believe Derron Williams has not participated in any NBA All-Star games in his career. That’s CRAZY! Because the Bro’s game is NICE! The fans never get it right…..and as long as their able to vote the never will. Tracy McGrady…….a starter? I love the guy, but he is not deserving at all.

Agree with you whole heartedly. Fans are just that, FANS. They aren’t analysts and aren’t objective when they vote. I think one vote per fan is fair. Forget about AI last year and T-Mac this year, let’s talk about how last YI JIAN LAN was one of the leading vote getters at forward last year. That’s a travesty. That and the fact that G Wallace should be starting this year but he won’t.

I couldn’t agree more Jalen! We all know that Tracy McGrady has no business being in the All-Star Game considering he’s played all of 20 minutes this season. The NBA likely won’t change a thing because they want it to be all about the fan! Which is the right things to do in every effort besides the All-Star Game.

How about the fan who actually watches the games closely and wants to see Monta Ellis or Brandon Jennings.

System needs to be changed so that All-Star Fan Votes account for only a small portion of what we see during the All-Star Weekend

I think the people who are voting for Tracy McGrady are a bunch of idiots, and the majority of them are coming from China because of the bias of being Yao Ming teammate.

You have a strong idea of having everyone vote once, that really makes sense!
