2004: Jalen Joins SportsCentre

November 2, 2004 — Jalen Rose will play double duty this season as
both a forward/guard for the Toronto Raptors and regular contributor to
SportsCentre. Rose makes his SportsCentre debut today, coinciding with
the start of the NBA season. Rose will share his unique insider
perspective on the NBA and will also appear regularly on the popular
segments Three Burning Questions and Fact or Fiction.

TSN is preparing Jalen Rose for a post-basketball career in
broadcasting. The Raptors swingman will be a regular contributor to
TSN’s SportsCentre this season, beginning tonight. He will appear
regularly on the segments ‘Three Burning Questions’ and ‘Fact or
Fiction.’ TSN also is exploring ideas like putting a microphone on Rose
after a game and having a devoted camera on him on an off-day. It’s not
Rose’s first job in the broadcasting world. He has done some television
work in the United States.
