2002: Chicago Children’s Foundation

2002 – Jalen has established The Jalen Rose Chicago Children’s
Foundation to aid children living in Chicago who have lost a parent.
"First and foremost, I send my condolences to all the family members
and friends of the victims who tragically lost their lives at a Chicago
area nightclub," Jalen Rose. The recent tragedy inspired Jalen to
launch the new foundation.
Jalen Rose established the foundation with the Giving Back Fund out of concern for children of Chicago who have lost a parent.
Jalen has made an initial contribution of $25,000.00 and would like to
encourage others to make charitable contributions to the foundation.
"This is a very sad and unfortunate situation. The city as a whole
needs to come together to avoid such a tragedy from ever happening
again," Jalen Rose.
