2003: Tix for the UC Neighbors

2003 – Jalen toured the city’s west side today, presenting hundreds of
children at schools and youth clubs with free tickets to his upcoming
charity basketball game.
The Jalen Rose Foundation All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game, featuring
a roster of over 20 current NBA players and a special halftime
performance by Ashanti, will take place at the United Center on Sunday,
August 17, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Rose purchased 2,300 tickets that were delivered to children in the United Center neighborhood.
Rose’s schedule included the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boys & Girls
Club, Suder Elementary School, Brown Elementary School, Herbert
Elementary School, Mabel Manning Library and the James Jordan Boys
& Girls Club.
