2004: Assist Donation – Jane and Finch B&G Club

October 18, 2004 – Toronto Raptors assist leader, Jalen Rose, visited
the Jane & Finch Boys and Girls Club to makes an assist in the
community for every assist he made on the court during the 2003-04 NBA
season. Lucky for the Boys and Girls Club, Jalen was the assist leader
last year as he dished out a team-high 329 assists. For the second
season, The Jalen Rose Foundation donated $50 for every assist. On this
day, Jalen presented a $16,450 check to the club to further enhance
their numerous programs. The donation will be used by the club to focus
on "healthy eating – healthy bodies," a program that will include
after-school snacks, Saturday cooking classes and more.
