2007: Jalen Makes an ASSIST to the Boys &Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix

June 22, 2007 — Members of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan
Phoenix welcomed Jalen Rose as he presents a $10,000 check in
conjunction with his annual assist donation program. For the fifth
consecutive season, Jalen pledged that for being blessed to make
assists on the NBA court, he would also bless others and give an assist
off the court to a local non-profit organization. The 2007 donation
will be used to support the Kieckhefer Learning Center and its
educational programming. Daily activities encourage literacy, math,
hands-on science and cultural understanding. The Center also offers
PowerHour, a daily homework-help program that provides one-on-one
assistance to club members.
